The King's body was returned to Tonga today from New Zealand where he passed away. From the time the body left the airport, the roads were lined with Tongan school children and adults, paying their respects to the late King.We lined up in town to watch and be part of this event...every building had been covered in black and purple cloth - signifying the colors for royalty and for mourning.
